The larger-than-life set saw models strutting down the escalator wearing the designer’s fabulous creations that weaved together the subtle nuances of modern artistry with the intricacy of true couture. A contrast between traditional and contemporary styles; the collection presented an array of refined silhouettes for both men and women.
From an elaborate line of voluminous, billowing skirts with embroidery art, fitted corsets and shimmering cascades for women to structured sherwanis and fluid kurtas for men – Manish Malhotra’s bridal collection married craftsmanship with glamour for the modern Indian man and woman.
Crafted in rich fabrics such as satin organza, silk tulle, micro velvet, satin velvet, two-tone silks using antique metallic threadwork, pearls, and luminous crystals – the voluminous gowns and lehengas were fashioned in shades of ivory, soft grey, vintage rose, burgundy and teal.
For the gentleman, sherwanis with asymmetrical hemlines, draped kurtas and jackets were presented in royal colors and rich fabrics with intricate embroidery.
