This season, Nikhil Thampi Label brings to you a collection that shows the importance of ‘Semicolon;’. The humble comma and dot in English grammar that facilitates the joining of disconnected phrases to form a sentence. Translated, it is a symbol of perseverance which depicts that life does not follow a linear path. In reality, there are dips, curves, jagged angles and skewed perspectives – phases that can leave us broken, but the semicolon makes us whole again. Metaphorically, it is a bridge over a void; it symbolises our evolution through personal chapters and helps us grow into complete individuals.

The Spring/ Summer 2019 collection carries forward the designer’s signature style of sharply tailored power dressing, but with elements of contrast. Form-fitted to off-body silhouettes, angular to curved panels, matte to shine, solid to print, monochrome to colour-blocking: the line is aimed at today’s multi-dimensional urban woman who is confident in her skin, no matter what her body type, age bracket or work profile is.
